History of Building
Trumble Park Elementary School, home of the Roadrunners, opened its doors in 1960 as one of the first new elementary schools in the expanding Papillion La Vista Community Schools district. Proudly displaying blue and silver as its colors, the school was named after the Trumble family, early settlers in the Papillion area.
Over the decades, Trumble Park has served as a cornerstone of its neighborhood, fostering strong community partnerships. The school has been recognized for its commitment to academic excellence and creating a positive learning environment where every student can excel.
To keep pace with educational advancements, Trumble Park has undergone several renovations. In 2012, it received significant updates similar to those at Golden Hills Elementary, improving its facilities to better serve students. Further major renovations in the mid-2010s updated classrooms and added new learning spaces to support modern educational practices.
The Roadrunner mascot symbolizes speed, agility, and adaptability - qualities that Trumble Park strives to instill in its students. Through its commitment to quality education and continuous improvement, Trumble Park Elementary lives up to the district's vision to "Be Known for Greatness."
As it moves forward, Trumble Park remains dedicated to providing a modern learning environment, preparing students for future success while honoring its long-standing role in the community.
